Restorative yoga is a form of “active relaxation.”  When the body is supported with props, we alternate stimulating and relaxing the body to move toward balance.  Poses target different benefits and all of them create specific physiological responses that are very beneficial to health and are shown to reduce stress-related diseases.

Weekly practice of restorative yoga can reduce stress, improve sleep, and create an overall feeling of well-being.  Restorative yoga poses are for times when you are feeling weak, fatigue, or stressed from your everyday activities.  This is even more beneficial for times before, during, and after major life events.  This can be the death of a loved one, changing employment or moving, marriage, divorce, major holidays, and vacations.  In addition, the poses can be practiced when you are ill or simply recovering from illness or injury.

We teach 3 types of yoga:
  • Yin
  • Vinyasa Flow
  • Restorative
