Pre-Op Evaluations and Conditioning
Physical Therapy prior to surgery builds strength, endurance, and flexibility to help improve positive physical outcomes and reduce rehabilitation time.

Running Evaluations
Running injuries are common these days, especially as the sport is increasing in popularity.  A running evaluation, completed by one of our experts in running injuries, can help to expose deficits in your running form and technique.  A running analysis via treadmill and over ground, as well as testing for muscle length, strength imbalances, and joint pathologies, can help to build an appropriate treatment plan to get you back to pain free running and help prevent injuries in the future.

Ergonomic Consultation and Education
Many sedentary jobs today can lead to discomfort and problems with the neck and back.  Ergonomic consultation and education can assist in optimal setup of your desk to improve posture and comfort, while reducing strain on the body.

Manual Therapy
Manual therapies can assist improvements in range of motion, neuromuscular control, balance, strength, circulation, reduction of muscle spasms/pain, and limb volume reduction.  Our therapists are trained in a variety of manual techniques, including: joint mobilizations, myofascial release, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, passive range of motion, lymphatic drainage, and therapeutic massage.

  • Joint Mobilization
  • Myofascial Release
  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage
  • Muscle Energy Technique (MET)
  • Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF)
  • Positional Release (Stain Counter-Strain Technique)

Functional Dry Needling
Functional Dry Needling (FDN) is a skilled technique performed by a physical therapist using thin “filiform” needles.  The needle is used to penetrate the skin and/or underlying tissues to affect change in body structures and functions.  FDN can assist in the evaluation and management of neuromusculoskeletal conditions, pain, movement impairments, and disability.  Functional Dry Needling can be described as a powerful “reset” to a muscle or tissue preventing an individual from performing a functional task.  Each case is treated on an individual basis, taking into account a person’s medical condition, lifestyle, and individual needs.

Surface EMG Neuromuscular Re-Education
Muscle control is often lost following a surgery or injury.  With the help of a therapist and Surface EMG biofeedback equipment, we can promote Neuromuscular Re-Education or retrain muscles to contract under a patient’s voluntary control.

Gait Training
Lower extremity trauma or surgery can cause pain that leads to altered walking patterns.  These patterns often further lead to chronic gait deviations that cause joint damage, pain, and back problems.  We can analyze your walking pattern to identify weakness, limited range of motion, and neurological disorders.  We can educate and train you how to correct your walking pattern.

Orthotic Casting and Training
The need for custom orthotics can be due to back pain, lower extremity joint pain, and/or leg length differences.  We offer complete custom casting and training at an affordable price.  In some cases, insurance may cover the cost of the casting.  For more information, give us a call!

Therapeutic Ultrasound
The use of inaudible high frequency acoustic vibrations allows therapeutic ultrasound to be used as a treatment option to gently heat tissues and help stimulate the healing response in some injuries.

Electrical Stimulation (E-Stim)
Electrical Stimulation or “E-Stim,” is the use of controlled electrical currents in different waveforms to help stimulate the body’s healing process and helps to reduce pain, muscle spasms, and swelling.

Vaso-pneumatic cryotherapy
The use of pneumatic air pressure that alternates with on and off cycles, in combination with circulating cold water, utilizes the components of ice and compression commonly found in the acronym “RICE.”

Therapeutic Exercise Education
One of the primary tools of rehabilitation, exercise prescription by a Physical Therapist, can be used to restore range of motion, strength, stability, endurance, and balance.  All of these physical factors combine to return an individual to normal everyday function and improve quality of life.

Mechanical Traction
Our pneumatic traction table is used for low back and neck traction.  Traction can be used to decrease nerve root impingement, improve joint mobility, help reduce muscle spasms, and can be used in the treatment of herniated discs.
